Our Story
"The purpose of life is to know the divine. We built this library so that sacred wisdom is never lost."
Our Mission
Divya Vani was born from a simple but profound need — to make the sacred mantras, chalisas, stotras, and stories of Sanatan Dharma freely accessible to every devotee, student, and spiritual seeker, in any corner of the world.
We believe that spiritual wisdom belongs to all of humanity. The Vedas, Upanishads, and devotional poetry of the saints carry timeless truths that deserve to be read, heard, and understood in their full depth — not just recited mechanically.
Our team of scholars, pandits, and technologists work together to provide accurate transliterations, precise translations, and meaningful commentary for every text in our collection.
What We Stand For
Every mantra, chalisa, and shloka is verified by qualified pandits and Sanskrit scholars. We never compromise on accuracy — even small errors in sacred texts matter.
We go beyond mere lyrics. Every text includes detailed meaning, word-by-word breakdown, and contextual commentary so that devotion is also understanding.
Our core collection is and always will be free. Sacred wisdom should never be locked behind a paywall. This is our seva to the global Hindu community.
We serve devotees of all sampradayas, sects, and traditions — Shaiva, Vaishnava, Shakta, and more. All paths of Dharma are honored equally here.
Our Journey
2019
Founder Arjun Sharma, frustrated by the lack of accurate, well-translated Hindu scriptures online, begins manually compiling mantras with correct transliterations and meanings.
2020
The first version of Divya Vani launches as a simple website with 100 mantras. Within three months, 50,000 readers from across India and the diaspora discover the site.
2021
We formalize partnerships with 12 pandits and Sanskrit scholars from Varanasi, Tirupati, and Udupi to verify and expand our collection with authoritative commentary.
2022
Professional audio recitations by trained priests are added for 300 mantras. The Katha (stories) section launches with 60 sacred stories from the Puranas and Itihasa.
2025
Divya Vani now hosts over 800 scriptures in 50+ languages, serving 2 million readers monthly across 120 countries. Our mission continues — until every mantra is preserved.
